Abstract

This chapter focuses upon the organisational requirements for science teaching. The organisation of the learners, the equipment and the activities will be discussed as these will affect the learning outcomes provided for the learners. Various groupings and organisations are possible and the ones selected will rely in part on what is to be taught but will also have an impact on the resources available, as well as the confidence and experience of the teacher. Resources and their storage also have an impact upon science teaching and some ideas are suggested. The chapter concludes with issues related to health and safety.
